I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 14 years of nursing experience across diverse clinical settings. My career began in medical-surgical nursing, where I spent two years developing a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care while also gaining early exposure to the intersection of physical and mental health. For the past 12 years, I have specialized in obstetric and postpartum nursing, where I have supported women and families during some of the most transformative periods of their lives. Through this work, I developed a deep appreciation for the emotional and psychological complexities that accompany life transitions, particularly in areas such as depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. This experience played a pivotal role in shaping my passion for mental health and ultimately led me to advance my training in psychiatric care. My clinical approach is rooted in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and holistic care. I recognize that mental health is influenced by a wide range of biological, psychological, and social factors, and I strive to meet each patient where they are with empathy and respect. Currently, I am expanding my experience in community mental health by working within a private practice that serves individuals experiencing homelessness. In this role, I conduct comprehensive psychiatric intakes and assessments, allowing me to better understand the unique challenges faced by underserved populations and to provide thoughtful, individualized care. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard and empowered in their mental health journey. My goal is to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care that promotes resilience, healing, and long-term well-being.
